Many small businesses and organisations depend on volunteers to maintain their site - often delegating the role of webmaster to an enthusiastic amateur who knows a little about HTML and is keen to develop their skills.

Inevitably, as time goes by, the webmaster finds that they have other commitments and the website falls by the wayside. The owners are left with no means of updating their site which becomes stagnant and out-of-date.
